Exploring IoT with Micro:bit & Pi Pico

Europe/London
Add to calendar:

CERC will have a stand and talk by Dr. Sujit Bhattacharya, Founder and Director of CERC.

This engaging session introduces the Internet of Things using hands-on, classroom-friendly tools like the BBC Micro:bit and Pi Pico 2W.
Designed for students, teachers, and educators, the talk explores how:

  • Simple sensors collect real world data
  • Code turns data into decisions
  • Wireless communication connects devices
  • Everyday objects become smart systems

Without heavy theory, participants will see how accessible devices can measure their environment, share information, trigger actions, and help solve meaningful problems. Whether you are an educator looking for practical classroom ideas, a student curious about IoT, or a maker eager to explore connected devices, this session will offer clear, inspiring, and practical insights.

Come along, celebrate Raspberry Pi’s 14th birthday, and explore what is possible when coding meets the real world.
