Robot Challenge 2026

An exciting team-based robotics competition for young people aged 8 to 17.
Participants will work together to design and build a functional robot using a supplied kit, guided by Aerospace Engineer and EdTech Specialist Dr Sujit Bhattacharya. Along the way, they will gain hands-on experience with sensors, microcontrollers such as BBC Micro:bit and Raspberry Pi Pico, and real-world engineering skills.
Teams will compete for prizes and have the opportunity to showcase their robots at summer events, with pathways to regional and national competitions.

Open to ages 8 to 17. Under 12s must be accompanied by a parent. Over 12s require parental consent.
A fully charged internet-enabled laptop or tablet is required.
